Alma Jo Houston, 96, Rockford, the oldest resident at Brewington Oaks, died Sunday, October 3, 2010, in her home with her daughter, Sherry, by her side. She was born March 14, 1914, in Peoria, the daughter of Craig and Stella (Adams) Weaver.nbsp; Jo lived in Rockford since 1929, moving here from Peoria.nbsp; She married Frank K. Houston in Detroit, Michigan on May 12, 1944.nbsp; He predeceased her on March 16, 1984.nbsp;
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lynn White of Rockford; daughter-in-law, Jean Houston of Loves Park; grandchildren, Robert (Tracy) White, Dawn Joy (Kevin) White, Kristi White, Tim, Kim, Robert, Gregg, and Debbie Houston, and Randy Bowen; 23 great- grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Travis Bradford, Ronnie Brown, Linda Drye, Becca and Rex Joseph.
Predeceased by her husband, Frank; son, Dudley; infant daughter, Dawn Joy; 2 great-grandsons; brothers, Harry and Charles Weaver; sister-in-law, Cova Houston; brother-in-law, William Houston.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 7, 2010, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Av. Rockford, IL 61103 with Chaplain Steve Pearce officiating.nbsp; Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
