Allan "Al" F. Hottman

Allan “Big Al” F. Hottman, 80, of Rockford, passed away peacefully April 1, 2019 in his home. Born July 27, 1938 in Sauk City, WI; the son of Christ and Dolly (Hehenberger) Hottman. He married Sue Anderson August 19, 1967 in Rockford.
A United States Air Force Veteran, Al was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He was a 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus Muldoon Council 470 and a 4th Degree member of the General Assembly 190. He was also a 50 year member of Local 669 where he retired in 1995 after 28 years of service and a member of the Venetian Club.
An avid Green Bay Packers fan, Al enjoyed swimming, fishing, and coaching little league baseball.
He was a loving husband, father and great provider for his family.
Survivors include his wife of 51 1/2 years, Sue Hottman; children, Rhonda (Mike Kaiser) Schnoor, Robin (Mark) Bumphrey, Wendy (Scott) Barranco, Jim (Leigh) Hottman and Debbie (Jason) Scott; grandchildren, Ian (Kaity) Bumphrey, Paige (Jose) Gomez, Cameron Schnoor, Garrett Schnoor, Benjamin Barranco, Anthony Barranco, Caleigh (Eric Kuzmenko) Hottman, Cameron Hottman, Tyler Hottman, Richie Kibiloski, Zachary Scott; 1 great-grandchild on the way; Al’s fury friends, Allie, Dalton and Tulip; and numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass 11a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave, Rockford. Visitation 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel. Visitation will continue 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 at the funeral home.
