Alice R. Meverden

Alice R. Meverden, 74 of Rockford, died on Friday, June 22, 2007 at Rosewood Care Center with her husband at her side. Born, March 29, 1933 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of John and Margaret Lukowicz. Married her husband Charles Chuck Meverden on January 10, 1955. Alice had recently worked at Flynn Middle School in the cafeteria. Prior to that she was an office secretary for Gibson Labs before she became a devoted mother to her two sons. nbsp;She was an avid reader, a talented decorator and belonged to the P. Buckley Moss Society. She was always doing a little bit of everything. Survivors include her husband Chuck of 52 years; sons, Craig (Paula) of PA and Curt (Becky) of MN; grandchildren, Abby, Zach, Mitch, Laura (Brent) Anderson and Luke; great grandson, Noah Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. nbsp; At Alices request, all services will be private. If you wish to send a memorial please make them to The Salvation Army.
