Alex Michael Sagona

Alex Michael Sagona, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009, in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born on March 20, 1921, in Rockford, the son of Michael and Lena (Caccio) Sagona. Alex was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ann; daughter, Angie (Don) Franklin; son, Michael (Tina) Sagona; grandchildren, Dominic, Anthony and Gina Sagona, Steven (Dawn), Thomas (Kelly) Franklin; great-grandchildren, Caden, Avril and Reeve Franklin; sisters-in-law, Mary Anne (Robert) Irwin and Marie Cipolla.

Predeceased by his parents and brother, Frank Sagona.

Funeral Mass will be 1pm, Saturday, January 2, 2010, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Av., Loves Park, Il 61111 with Fr. Burt Absalon officiating. No visitation.
