Rockford—Albert J. Parson, 81 of Rockford died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born May 2, 1932 in Milan Tennessee to Almer & Myrtle (Cassidy) Parson. Married Wilma Nolan on November 22, 1951 in Mississippi. Albert was the manager and set-up man for 2nd shift machinists at Globe Imperial. After retirement he worked with his son for 10 years at Parson's General Body. Albert loved to tinker with all automotive. Greatly loved by all his children and will be greatly missed by all. As the patriarch of the family Albert used his words of inspiration to spiritually guide his family.
Survived by his wife Wilma of 62 years; Children, Joyce Ford Hoffman (Taylor Hoffman), Brenda (Maxey) Holmes, Albert (Teresa) Parson Jr., Martha Caiozzo, Steve (Joanne) Parson, Cindy (Joe) Redmond, John (Debbie) Parson and Jerry (Mary) Parson; Brothers; W.D. Parson and Alford Parson; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers.
Funeral Service 11 am Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Road with Pastor Wesely Poe officiating. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Road.
