Aileen Glasscoe

Aileen Glasscoe, 86, of Rockford passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018. Born September 14, 1931, in Sublette, Illinois, the daughter of Lester and Christine (Bettendorf) Dinges. Aileen married Douglas Glasscoe on October 31, 1954. Aileen was a second mom for those in the Phantom Regiment and that was a huge part of her life. She “adopted” many of its members as if they were her second family.
Survived by her daughter, Chris (Mike) Snow; daughter-in-law, Barb Glasscoe; siblings, Rose (Ray) Smith, Charles “Bud” (Judy) Dinges and Mary Ann Dinges and special family, Jeff Davis and the Eshelman Family. Predeceased by her husband, Douglas, son, Mark, infant daughter, Pamela and brothers, Jim and Bill Dinges.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial in Oak Knolls Memorial Park in Sterling.
