Adrian G. Olson

Adrian G. Olson, 83, of Rockford, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Presence Saint Anne Center. He was born on December 19, 1932, in Crawford County, WI, the son of Howard and Stella (Burkum) Olson. He proudly joined the United States Army, where he served in the Korean War. Adrian was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the American Disable Veterans Foundation. He was an avid square dancer, marksman, photographer, and fisherman. He enjoyed collecting things, such as knives, firearms, stamps, and lighters. Adrian was a patient man with a steady hand and an excellent sense of humor, he will be missed by all of those who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Diane) Olson and Ron (Billie) Olson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; former wife, Betty Jo Dzik; brother, Stan (Debbie) Olson; his sisters, Sondra (Glen) Northrop, and Linda Ferguson; sister in-law, Belle-Mae Olson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, and brother, Harland Olson.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. A visitation will held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
