Ada M. (Halley) Ferdinand, 85, Winnebago, died at 10:58 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013 at home in Crimson Pointe Assisted Living.
Born March 30, 1927 in Rockford, daughter of Ross and Ada (Stevens) Halley.
Married Glenn Ferdinand in Rockford on November 15, 1947.
He died June 13, 2004.
She was a member of the Winnebago First Presbyterian Church.
Ada and Glenn enjoyed extensive travels, but their time spent at Minocqua, WI was always their favorite.
Survivors include her son, Steven (Deborah) Ferdinand; daughter, Suzanne (Robert) Cave; grandchildren, Angela (Jeffrey) Hodges, Deanna (Randy Hays) Mershon, Douglas (Denise) Gilbey, Justin (Nicole Barry) Cave; stepgrandchildren, Ken Cave, Kathy Olds; greatgrandchildren, Noah and Jonathon (JJ) Hodges, Andrew Gilbey, Charley and Cooper Mershon; step greatgrandchildren, Megan Rednour, Alyssa and Amanda Cave, Ethan Hays; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Sue DeHart.
Also predeceased by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Adas children would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Crimson Pointe for the care they provided for their mother during her time there. It was much appreciated.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
