Thomas "Tom" Gerard Catron

Thomas Gerard Catron, 58, of Rockford, passed away on September 8, 2023. He was born on November 9, 1964, in Rockford, the son of William A. and Joanne P. (Tallman) Catron. Tom is a graduate of Page Park School and attended Center of Hope and Malcolm Eaton. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching tv and spending time with his father for pop and peanuts at the Moose Club. He was an avid Christmas fan and enjoyed putting up the Christmas tree as soon as Thanksgiving dinner was over.

He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth “Betsy” Pierce; brother, Bill (Cassidy) Catron; nieces and nephew, Christopher (Melissa), Hannah, and Abigail; great nephews, Zachary and Jacob; his family, friends, Ashley and staff of Seborg Terrace. He is predeceased by his parents; sisters, Ruth Ann and Sandra Catron; brothers, Daniel Lee and Brian Morris; niece, Gretchen Pierce; and nephew, Matthew Pierce.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 N. Bell Avenue Rockford 61103. A visitation will take place starting at 9:00 a.m. prior to mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ProMedica Hospice or Center of Hope.
