Paul M. Day, 78 Photo-Color Rockford- Paula Marie Day, 78, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 7, 2009. Born June 28, 1930 in Rockford, daughter of Raymond and Edith (Austin) Duffey. Worked for Wayne Auto Service in Beloit, Smith Oil Company and Atwood. Loved gardening, photography, making photo cards, planning class reunions and the gambling boat. Paula was cherished by her family and friends. Survived by her lifelong companion, Charles Lamb; daughter, Linda (Butch Vogt) Bown; sons, James (Mary) Day, John (Cindy) Day and Charles daughter, Linda (Ray) Collins; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Bud) Feeley, Barbara Lehman and June (Jay) Henigan; brother, James Duffey; sister-in-law, Jean Duffey and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by parents, brother Jack (Jerry Smith) Duffey, Robert Duffey; sister, Marylou Weiland; great granddaughter, Kristen Williams and former husband Vince Acardo. Funeral Services Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel 3910 N. Rockton Ave. at 12 (noon) with Rev. Dr. William R. Kerr officiating.
