Morris F. Eklund 75 of Loves Park passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012.nbsp; Frank as he was known by family and friends.nbsp; Born in Rockford.nbsp; He attended East High School.nbsp; He served his country in the Army, stationed for three years in Germany.nbsp; In his earlier years he worked for Burson Knitting, later for CIE amp; G, he retired from NICOR after 37 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 17 years, two stepsons, Timothy Kane of Rockford, Sean (Elizabeth) Kane of Tinley Park and the light of his life, his 11 month old grandson, Nathan Patrick.nbsp; Sisters, Geraldine (Karl) Krug of Rockford, Irene (Ron) Egner of Michigan, Juanita (Marvin) Gustafson of South Beloit, Donna Trotter of Rockford and LoVae Wiegner of Florida.nbsp; Numerous nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents, stepfather, brother Arthur Miner and first wife, Betty.nbsp; The family wishes to thank all the caring nurses and aides at OSF Cancer Care Center and Hospital especially OSF Hospice for their loving care.
A very special thank you to Dr. Korkmaz, Dr. Hoskins for their loving care and compassion at this trying time.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am Saturday, October 27, 2012 in St. Bridget Church, 600 Clifford Avenuenbsp;nbsp;Loves Park, IL 61111.nbsp; Burial in Calvary Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 5 pm until 7 pm Friday, October 26, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home 3910 North Rockton Avenue, with prayer service at 6:30 pm.nbsp; Visitation also from 9:30 am until time of service Saturday in the church.nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials to be established by the family.nbsp; Express online condolences at www. fitzgeraldfh.com
