Michelle Rae (Kovanda) Iasparro, 33Loves Park-Michelle Rae (Kovanda) Iasparro, 33 of Loves Park, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2011 surrounded by her family at home after her courageous 14 month battle with colon cancer. Michelle's spirit and smile warmed the hearts and souls of all who knew her. She brightened every room she walked into and made all who met her better for having done so. Born September 14, 1977 in Rockford Illinois to Michael and Sally (Holm) Kovanda. Received her bachelor degree from Northern Illinois University. Married Michael Iasparro in Rockford on September 22, 2007. Michelle worked as the National Account Manager at Adecco, Inc. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church.Survivors include; Her husband, Michael; Father and Mother Michael (Sally) Kovanda of Lake Summerset, IL; Brother Nicholas (Rhonda) Kovanda and nieces Lola and Hannah; Father and Mother in-law Dominic (Pamela) Iasparro; Sister-in-law Cathleen Iasparro; Aunt Leah Bliss, all of Rockford; as well as several adoring cousins, countless loving friends, and her loyal companions and assistants, Sonny and Buster the pugs. Predeceased by her grandparents, Rae and Nell Holm; Step-grandfather, Beauford Bales; grandparents Joseph and Bernadette Kovanda , and uncle Steve Kovanda.Funeral Mass 10 am Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church 4401 Highcrest Road. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 South Mulford Road. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning at Holy Family Catholic Church from 9 until 9:45 am.
