Michael J. Costello

Michael J. Costello, 58, of Rockford, IL passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Swedish American Hospital. He was born March 4, 1964, in Rockford, IL the son of Teresa (Chango) and Raymond J. Costello. Michael grew up in Rockford and graduated from Boylan Catholic High School in 1982. He was very athletic, excelling at football, wrestling, and weightlifting. He also enjoyed listening to music. Michael went on to attend Rock Valley College. Michael struggled for many years with mental illness.

Michael is survived by his sister, Cheryl (Bill) Free; brother, Raymond A. (Julie) Costello; nephews, Joseph (Tammy) and Timothy (Jessica); niece, Allison (Eric); 3 great-nephews and 1 great-niece. Michael is predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Teresa.
