Margaret H. Datschefski

Margaret (Marge) H. Datschefski, 82, passed away peacefully at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center on Monday, February 25, 2013 with her family (children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren) at her side. She was born on March 6, 1930, the daughter of Delay and Laura Sterner. On October 11, 1951, she married Robert Datschefski. He predeceased her on February 28, 2009. Marge worked as the Credit Supervisor at the Orthopedic & Arthritis Clinic for over 20 years. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Richard) Mandzen, three grandchildren, Tammy McNeany, Rick Mandzen and Vicki Johnson: five greatgrandchildren, Mark Mandzen, Eric Mandzen, Lauryn Mandzen, Devyn McNeany and Maiya Johnson: one greatgreat grandson, Zayn Mandzen: brothers, John Sterner and James Sterner: sisters, Doris Sterner, Ruth Anderson and Mary Rinchiuso. Predeceased by her parents, husband (Robert) and sisters, Dorothy Bates and Lois Korsberg. Marges life was devoted to her entire family with whom she created lifetime memories. Greatgreat grandson, Zayn, provided her with daily laughter and joy. A strong, determined woman, she overcame many health challenges. Her happiest times were spent helping others. She will lovingly be remembered for her kind, caring ways and, yes, those slot machines! Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2013 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 412 N.
