Kathleen Van Vleck

Kathleen Van Vleck, 69, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Swedish American Hospital. Born November 15, 1952 in Rockford, Kathy was a lifelong resident of Rockford. She is the daughter of Angelo Spataro and Mary (Fasula) Spataro.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Michael Van Vleck of Mesa, AZ and Tina (David) Tallent of Rockford, IL, her brother David (Mary Kay) Spataro and sister Sharon Barcellona both of Rockford, IL and grandchildren Lauryn Van Vleck, Isabella Van Vleck and Brookelyn Trujillo-Van Vleck all of Mesa AZ, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by her parents Angelo Spataro and Mary Spataro and her grandson Anthony Van Vleck.

Kathy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She enjoyed music, concerts, the outdoors and spending time with her beloved family. She had a bright and energetic personality, a contagious laugh and was known for her selfless giving, support and love for her family.

Funeral will be at 10:30am Saturday, February 5, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Rockford, IL 61102. Burial will be immediately after mass at Calvary Cemetery.
