June Cowan, 83, Rockford, IL passed away, Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Alpine Fireside Health Center suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. June was born January 7, 1937, in Liverpool England. She met the love of her life, Darrell (Scott) Cowan, and they were married on September 3, 1955, in Liverpool England. June is loved and will be missed by her two daughters, Carol (Steve) Moyer Pumilia and Kimberly (Mike) Burlington, her 3 grandchildren, Timothy Moyer , Jennifer Moyer, and Whitney Burlington, her two step-grandchildren, Nicole Jones and Kristen Burlington, her 2 great-grandchildren, Nolan and Mason Moyer, and her sister and two brothers still living in England. June's family acknowledges the loving and tender care given by the nurses, CNAs, and staff of Alpine Fireside and Northern Illinois Hospice. Predeceased by her husband, Darrell (Scott) Cowan in 2015. Funeral arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 South Mulford Road. There will be a walk thru visitation on Friday, October 2, 2020, from 12:30 until 2:30 pm. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Memorials in June's name can be given in care of the Alzheimer's Association (act.alz.org/donate ) or in care of her family.
