Jimmy L. Crawford

Jimmy L. Crawford, 61, of Rockford, passed away on October 22, 2021 in his home. Born February 6, 1960 in Gary, IN, the son of Jacob & Lurie (Pops) Crawford. He worked as a forklift operator for many years as well as a Supervisor at most of his employment. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and supporting his favorite Chicago sport teams, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Jimmy was an MVP in the baseball little league in Gary, Indiana. He also was very engaging in many topics, including politics, religion and general topics.

He is survived by his children, LaGerald, Jimmie Jr, Jeremiah, Andrew, Aaron and Caleb Crawford, and step-children, Nicole Martin, Mykle Jackson, Nikita Smith and Kyree Martin; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; siblings, Jacob Crawford Jr of Indianapolis, IN, Loretta Crawford-Collins of Indianapolis, IN, Lynetta Crawford of Michigan City, IN, and Rozell (Theresa) Crawford of Rockford, IL. Predeceased by son, Carter; parents, Jacob and Lurie; paternal grandparents, Mattie (Andrew) Reddick; maternal grandparents, Corine (Joseph) Pops; and nephew, Cordell Crawford.
