Giacomo “Jack” Michael LiCausi, 72, of Estero, FL, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018. Formerly of Rockford, IL, he had been an Estero resident for the last 3 years. He was born May 2, 1945 in Rockford, the son of Jack Philip and Esther (née Gulotta) LiCausi.
Mr. LiCausi was a 21-year retired veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves with rank of First Sergeant. Jack was in the insurance business retiring after 40 years. He was a 4th degree Deputy Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer LiCausi of Jacksonville, FL, Jacquelyn A. (Christopher) Ward of Jacksonville, FL and Jason P. (Mariel) LiCausi of Naples, FL;
their mother, Diana LiCausi of Jacksonville, FL; three cherished grandchildren, Sydnie Grace LiCausi, Kate Ward and Parker LiCausi; his brother and sister, Michael (Linda) LiCausi and Antoinette (Ken) Dufour, both of Rockford, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
