Klotz Gruner, 53, Rockford, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center following a long illness. Born May 23, 1959 in Milwaukee, daughter of Peter R. Klotz and Stella Klotz Stutsman. Graduated from Jefferson High School in 1978. Married Mark D. Gruner, her love and soul mate, in the Church By The Side Of The Road on October 26, 1979. Employed by WarnerLambert for over 15 years. Member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Diane was a very social woman who thrived on being with people and was always there to help others. She was an avid bingo player and loved the Rubik Steel Band. Survivors include her husband, Mark (! son, Andrew (Natasha) Gruner; daughter, Michelle (Chester) GrunerNeace; grandchildren Maiea and Matthais; mother, Stella Stutsman; brother, Michael Klotz; sisters, Kathleen (Vern) Larson, Suzanne (Glen) Muench; motherinlaw, Jeannie Gruner; stepmother, Donna Klotz; aunts, Mary (Jim) Ebner and Catherine (Jim) Palmeri; stepsisters, Amy and Tami; special nieces and nephews; Ashley Franklin and her family and many, many special friends, especially Darlene (Doug) Trefftzs. She was a special grandmother to Amaria, Isabella, Anthony and Anna and a special mother to Phil Raatz and Natasha Labeau as well as being a foster mother to many people. She continued to give to people in death as she became a donor in order to help others. Diane'¢s family would like to say a special thankyou to Dr. Mark Zarnke and staff and Dr. John Monkemeyer and staff and the staff at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center for extending Diane'¢s life and the loving and compassionate care that was given to her. Predeceased by her father, Peter Klotz; stepfather, William Stutsman, grandparents, fatherinlaw, Ray Gruner and sisterinlaw, Mary Klotz.A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012 in Ftizgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 68 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with a Christian Wake Service to be held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also from 9 a.m. until time of the service on Friday.
