Bonnie L. Mann

Bonnie L. Mann, 81, of Rockford, IL passed away Friday, August 27, 2021. Bonnie was born February 7, 1940 in Pecatonica, IL the daughter to Wendell P. and Elizabeth (Bowden) Milne. Bonnie married John “Jack” Mann on April 25, 1962. Bonnie worked as a Viviane Woodard saleswoman, later at Mallquist Butter and Eggs, as well as the Construction Industry Fund from which she retired. Bonnie was an excellent cook and baker, she was known for her caramel corn and her generosity at Christmas time with all the delicious cookies she baked. Bonnie was an accomplished pianist as well as an avid bowler for many years. Along with her husband of 59 years she was a member of the LLL Society and the Rockford Model A club. She enjoyed shopping and would not stop until she found that perfect gift for her grandchildren. Bonnie also enjoyed spending time with her neighbors and her special friends in the “coffee group”. Most of all, Bonnie loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren at holiday get-togethers. Bonnie will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Bonnie is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Julie) Mann and Todd (Susan Pinkowski) Mann; grandchildren, Bridget, Katherine, Christopher, Dustin and Wyatt; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, her parents, and her siblings, Fredrick Milne, Donald Milne and Sharon Bader.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL. Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 at the funeral home. Entombment at Willwood Burial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carpenter’s Place, Rockford, IL.
