Beverly J. Kelso

Beverly Jean Kelso, 81, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on May 19, 2021. She was born on January 18, 1940 to George and Gynell (Eggler) Henderson. Beverly’s father George passed away when she was young and her mom remarried Buford Gentry who helped raise her. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for over 20 years, she helped clean the church and did the Adoration Chapel every Thursday evening. Beverly worked as an Executive Assistant at Sunstrand in Rockford for over 20 years. She enjoyed taking walks through her neighborhood and the company of her cherished friends. Beverly will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Beverly is survived by her children; Tom Cira, Kimberle (Scott) Magnuson, and Jill (Reed) Stuart; her grandchildren, Thomas George Cira, Brennan Anthony Cira, Noah Robert Stuart, and Zachary Raymond Stuart; her brother, Donald Henderson; her nephews, Todd Henderson and Scott Henderson. She is predeceased by her parents and step-father, Buford Gentry.

There will be visitation for Beverly on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. following visitation. Those attending will be asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Cremation rights will be accorded.
