Angelina Zammuto Cicero, 94, of Rockford passed from this world to eternal life on February 9, 2011 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Angelina, the daughter of Frank Zammuto and Josephine Collura, was born on July 9, 1916 in Aragona, Sicily. She and her family immigrated to Rockford in 1920. She married Peter Cicero on June 13, 1937 and together they managed the family business, Blackhawk Bottling Company, until her husband's death in 1972.A faith filled woman and wonderful role model, she was a life-long member of St. Anthony of Padua Church where she participated fully in parish life. She used her formidable bookkeeping skills as treasurer for the Altar and Rosary Society, The Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Aragona Club Women's Auxiliary for many years.Ang was a wonderful cook and gracious hostess. There was nothing that made her happier than having her home filled with friends and family enjoying her delicious homemade Sicilian specialties. She is survived by her three daughters Therese (Donald) Kueng, Jo (Chester) Zeppieri, and Fran Nelson as well her grandchildren Lisa (Tony Green) Kueng, Mary (Fred Johnson) Zeppieri and Peter Zeppieri and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be deeply missed by all she leaves behind.Our special thanks to Kirk's Place at Wesley Willows where she spent so many happy productive days, the staff at Rockford Memorial Hospital and Dr. Willard Moore for their compassionate care, and most of all to our two angels of mercy, Louise Roberts and Victoria Rodriguez who provided love, kindness and understanding during her last days.Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am Monday, February 14, 2011 at St Anthony Church with the Franciscan Friars officiating. Visitation is from 9am until time of service Monday in the church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
