William H. Pedersen, 64, Rockford, died at 11:37a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Swedish American Hospital following a short illness.  Born November 5, 1945 in Belvidere, son of Harold and Floy Cushman Pedersen. Graduated from Belvidere High School in 1963.  Long time Rockford resident. Married his soulmate and love of his life, Roxanna S. Olmstead Reh, in Door County, WI on October 2, 1993.  Served in the US Navy. Previously employed by the Leath Furniture Company in Belvidere, followed by Hughes Communications for many years.  Since semi-retiring, he had been employed by the Rockford Park District doing Event Security.  Bill was passionate about fishing  and belonged to Walleye Unlimited, Coon Creek Fishing Club and was presently a board member of Rock Valley Anglers.  He was a talented musician, having played with several different bands through the years.  He had a witty personality, was an avid Packers fan and was very proud to be Danish.



Survivors include his wife, Roxanna; daughter, Dana Pedersen McIntosh; grandson, Jacob Pedersen; step-daughter, Traci Reh; step-grandsons, Jaylen and Isaiah Manos, nieces, nephews, cousins and his special canine friends, Ethan and Annie.  Predeceased by his parents; son, Scott William Pedersen; infant daughter, LeaElin Pedersen and his Airedale companion, Jake.



Funeral service at 1p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Inis Bloomster leading the service.  Visitation from 6-8p.m. Tuesday and from noon until time of the service on Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may made to the family.  Send online condolences to www.fitzgeraldfuneralhome.com
