Dorothy M. Taylor, 90, Rockford, died Sunday, January 31, 2010. She was born May 6, 1919, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of James and Martha (Eddington) Kelly. Dorothy married Allen J. Taylor in Brooklyn, NY on October 14, 1951.
Survived by her husband, Allen; sons, James (June) Taylor and Christopher Taylor; daughter, Janet (Anthony) Castile; special grand daughter, Kayla Taylor; brother, Joseph Kelly; several sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law; sisters-in-laws, Maureen Kelly and Regina Taylor; brother-in-law, Herbert Taylor; nephew, James Kelly. Special thanks to her caregiver, Selia Wright, for her dedication and compassion during Dorothy’s illness.
Memorial services will be 5pm, Friday, February 5, 2010, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108, with Pastor Herbert Johnson, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until time of service on Friday. Cremation rites have been accorded.
